Mountain Ltd. has an opening for a Sr. OSP Designer working in the Penfield, NY area.

This senior role builds on your telecom background, focusing on Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) cabling infrastructure, FTTH designs, and GPON architecture for aerial and underground deployments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ESRI ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and related GIS/drawing tools, with knowledge of NFPA 70, ANSI/TIA standards, RUS Bulletins, and BICSI TDMM manuals.

Qualifications

• Six years of verifiable full-time telecom ICT experience required
• RCDD certification preferred or on certification path
• Experience with FTTP/GPON architectures and fiber/copper wiring
• Ability to read/interprete construction drawings and maps
• Willingness to travel for project requirements
• Associates/Bachelor’s degree in GIS/IT/Telecom or related field preferred

Responsabilités

• Produce GIS/drawings with ArcGIS/QGIS/Visio/AutoCAD as needed
• Evaluate aerial/underground OSP construction for quality and identify POE locations
• Understand design principles for aerial/underground OSP/ISP fiber and copper
• Create permit drawings for agencies (DOT, municipalities, railroads)
• Lead site surveys and field verifications for ICT networks
• Assist with project planning and proposal development
