Job summary

Applied Intuition Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA, is hiring a Software Engineer for its NextGen OS team to build a new full-stack OS for vehicles and new products. You will design, implement core OS components, and influence architecture decisions.

As an early hire, you will work closely with hardware partners, OEMs, and open-source communities, owning features from IPC to security sandboxing, while mentoring others and shaping the direction of the OS.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience with focus on low-level systems or OS development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Deep expertise in C/C++ and Unix/Linux kernel or embedded systems.
• Experience in performance optimization and memory management with multi-threading.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture and roadmap of the operating system.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and implement core OS components.
• Develop IPC, memory management, security sandboxing, networking and power/performance features.
• Collaborate with hardware partners and OEMs for BSP and HAL integration.
• Mentor engineers and advocate open-source practices.
