Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking an Orthotic Practitioner to manage comprehensive patient care under a physician’s prescription. You will assess patients, formulate and implement treatment plans, and ensure follow-up within the practice.

The role includes overseeing central fabrication projects and related activities, while applying administrative procedures and terminology. Certification in Orthotics (ABC/BOC) is required; a Class D license is also needed.

Qualifications

• Must be certified as a Certified Orthotic Practitioner.
• Ten years of combined orthotics experience, with at least four years in the discipline.
• Leadership experience is preferred.
• ABC or BOC orthotics certification required; if not at hire, must obtain within three years.
• Valid Class D driver’s license with a good driving record.

Summary

Responsible to manage the comprehensive orthotic patent care under the direction of a physician's prescription. This includes patent assessment, formulation and implementation of a treatment plan, as well as follow-up and practice management.

Job Description

The orthosis is designed to restore physiological function and/or cosmesis. Will assist in overseeing central fabrication projects and oversee fabrication activities.

Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.

Qualifications

Must have completed the schooling necessary to become certified as a Certified Orthotic Practitioner.

Must have ten years of combined experience, education and training in orthotics under the supervision of a privileged orthotist with a minimum of four years in the discipline.

Experience in leadership is preferred.

Certification in Orthotics through the American Board for Certification (ABC) or the Board of Certification (BOC) is required; if not at time of hire, must have certification within three years of hire.

Must possess a valid class D driver's license.

Must maintain a good driving record.
