Qualifications

• Orthopedic Technicians with four years experience and NB Certification.
• Five years experience as an Orthopedic Technician with formal training and ability to perform complex techniques.
• Former Kaiser Permanente Senior Orthopedic Technician employed as of Sept 3, 2003 and rehired after a break.

Responsibilities

• Applies, adjusts, and removes casts and fits splints and braces.
• Prepares aseptic dressing changes and sets up surgical fields.
• Trains/mentors other staff and oversees orthopedic device usage.
• Maintains cast room and treatment room supplies and stock.
• Documents interventions in medical records and coordinates follow-ups.
