Qualifications

• Master’s in Organic Chemistry with 5+ years of applicable experience required.
• PhD in Organic Chemistry preferred with 2+ years of applicable experience.
• Experience in organic synthesis in manufacturing or academic research laboratories.
• Extensive experience in air- and moisture-free chemistry, chromatography, and analytical methods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and follow department policies for operation of process equipment and waste disposal.
• Perform multi-step organic synthesis (100 mg to 500 g scale) in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Review historical records, analyze data to determine processes for current work orders.
• Develop weekly schedules and coordinate team resources to meet deadlines.
• Complete tasks daily with overtime/flexibility for varying schedules including weekends.
