Job summary

BrainWorks invites a Sr. Application Database Developer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain database objects that support critical applications.

You will bridge application development and database administration, ensuring performant, scalable data layers aligned with business needs. The ideal candidate has Oracle and SQL proficiency, 7+ years in IT as an Application Database Developer, and exposure to AWS RDS and Azure.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 7+ years of IT experience as an Application Database Developer.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and problem-solving.
• Experience with cloud-based databases like AWS RDS and Azure.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Collaborate with application developers, DBAs, and stakeholders to deliver reliable DB solutions.
• Performance-tune database objects and analyze slow queries using execution plans.
• Enforce secure coding practices, maintain documentation, and participate in code reviews.
• Mentor junior developers and coordinate with on/offshore support teams.
