Job summary
System One is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Enterprise Architect to design and lead enterprise-level Oracle database architectures. The role is hybrid, with 4 days on-site in Merrifield, VA, supporting a civilian federal end-customer.
The candidate will drive migrations, HA/DR solutions, and modernization efforts, shaping roadmaps and governance across IT and business stakeholders. US citizenship with Public Trust eligibility is required.
Qualifications
- 10+ years IT experience in enterprise architecture or Oracle database architecture.
- Extensive Oracle Database 21c experience (21c/19c upgrades & migrations).
- Experience designing enterprise-scale, high-availability database environments.
- Proven experience leading architecture and digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design enterprise database architecture using Oracle 21c.
- Lead migrations and upgrades with emphasis on performance, availability, and security.
- Implement Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Define database standards, governance, and best practices.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams to drive modernization.
