Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a senior architectural leader to conceptualize design documents and define system architecture ensuring consistency across our Technology organization. You will participate in selecting architecture solutions and guide teams through complex undertakings with independent judgment.

You will lead design efforts for integrating multi-platform, cloud, and application landscapes, and drive improvements in software development lifecycle, operations, and tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 7+ years in technical engineering/architecture.
• At least 3 years leadership in server- or client-side technologies.
• Experience in domain-specific architecture concepts and emerging technologies (design patterns, frameworks, Java-based solutions, mobile, infrastructure, data sciences).
• Experience creating and promoting guiding development principles and influencing teams and management.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualizes design documents to ensure consistency across the Technology organization.
• Designs system architecture for integrating platforms, OS, cloud and applications.
• Leads technical problems and performs analysis for solutions.
• Acts as a technical and business-savvy resource to engineering on software design issues.
• Writes test plans and reviews code changes.
• Interacts with stakeholders to share information and improve workflows.
