Job summary

Synechron, a global consulting firm, seeks a PL/SQL Developer in Menlo Park, CA to design, develop, and optimize Oracle database solutions. You will work with analysts and developers to deliver reliable database programs and perform performance tuning.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
8 years of experience in Oracle database development and PL/SQL programming.
Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL programming concepts.
Experience developing stored procedures, functions, packages, cursors, triggers, and views.
Good understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling.
Experience with query optimization and database performance tuning.
Knowledge of database transactions, indexing, constraints, and normalization.
Experience with debugging and troubleshooting database applications.
Familiarity with software development life cycle and version control systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and database scripts.
Design and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and scalability.
Develop and maintain Oracle database objects, including tables, views, indexes, sequences, and materialized views.
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.
Perform database performance tuning using execution plans, indexing, query optimization, and other techniques.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in development, testing, and production environments.
Support data migration, integration, and transformation activities.
Collaborate with application developers to ensure effective database and application integration.
Participate in code reviews and follow established coding, testing, and documentation standards.
Create and maintain technical documentation for database programs and processes.
Monitor data integrity, security, and overall database reliability.
Participate in production support and provide timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
