Job summary

A leading IT consulting firm is seeking a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer in Jersey City. Candidates should have over 10 years of experience as a database developer with strong SQL skills, performance tuning, and OLTP system experience. Knowledge of the financial industry is preferred. This role requires 2 weeks onsite per month, with a pay rate of $60-70/hr on a W2 basis, and offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical and 401k matching.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL querying skills, experience with stored procedures and triggers.
• Knowledge of Oracle AQ messaging and performance tuning.
• 5+ years experience in financial industry, preferably in Capital markets.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design data structures to support applications.
• Work as part of cross-functional teams, taking concepts to deployment.

Skills

10+ years of hands-on experience as a database developer in Oracle

Strong data analysis, design, and coding skills

Strong RDBMS skills – SQL querying

Performance tuning of stored procedures and queries

Experience working with OLTP Systems

Good communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaborate

Quick learner, adaptable

Knowledge of core Java is a plus

AWS Cloud experience is a plus

Education

Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in a technology related field
