Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer – Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer with 13+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle database development and strong experience in COBOL and mainframe technologies. The ideal candidate should have expertise in designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting complex enterprise applications, including legacy system modernization and integration between COBOL/Mainframe and Oracle-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL applications.
• Develop and optimize stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and views.
• Write and tune complex SQL queries for high-performance database applications.
• Analyze and resolve database performance and production issues.
• Work extensively with COBOL programs and Mainframe applications.
• Support and enhance legacy COBOL applications and integrate them with modern Oracle-based systems.
• Participate in data migration, ETL, and system modernization projects.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, QA teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Provide production support, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership when required.
