Job summary
Veriipro is seeking an experienced Oracle GoldenGate Consultant to join our enterprise IT team in the greater Richmond area. You will design and implement GoldenGate replication, manage Extract/Pump/Replicat processes, and support zero-downtime migrations across RAC, Data Guard, Exadata, and cloud platforms.
Ideal candidates bring deep Oracle DBA expertise, strong SQL tuning skills, Linux/Unix skills, and familiarity with DevOps practices, Ansible automation, and ITSM processes to ensure
Qualifications
- Strong Oracle GoldenGate expertise and Oracle DBA background.
- Experience with GoldenGate Microservices Architecture.
- Knowledge of RAC, Data Guard, ASM, Exadata, OEM, RMAN.
- Experience with replication, migration, synchronization, troubleshooting.
- Strong SQL and performance tuning skills.
- Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting experience.
- Familiarity with OCI; GCP experience a plus.
- Understanding of networking concepts related to replication.
- Automation with Ansible; ITSM, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Oracle Database 12c/19c/21c environments.
- Design, implement, and support GoldenGate replication solutions.
- Manage Extract, Pump, and Replicat processes across heterogeneous environments.
- Support unidirectional, bidirectional, Active-Active, and Active-Passive replication.
- Monitor replication latency, synchronization, and data consistency.
- Support zero-downtime migrations and cutover activities.
- Manage RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Exadata, OEM, and RMAN.
- Perform database tuning, health monitoring, patching, upgrades.
- Develop backup, recovery, HA/DR strategies and runbooks.
- Automate database operations using Ansible and shell scripting.
