Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Oracle Fusion ERP Functional Test Lead to ensure the quality and delivery of Oracle Fusion ERP implementations across finance, procurement, data conversion, and integrations. You will lead SIT/UAT, manage data conversion tests, validate SoD and controls, and coordinate with offshore teams and partners.

The role emphasizes collaboration with ERP consultants, business process owners, and program stakeholders in a hybrid model with onsite presence in Seattle, WA.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Enterprise Application Testing.
• 6+ years of experience leading functional testing for Oracle ERP or Oracle Financials implementations.
• Experience owning testing activities for at least one full lifecycle Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementation from design through go-live.
• Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Financials processes including General Ledger, Subledger Accounting, Period Close, Consolidation, Accounting Hub, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Experience designing and executing test scenarios independently, without requiring detailed guidance from ERP functional consultants.
• Practical understanding of financial accounting concepts, including chart of accounts, legal entities, business units, intercompany transactions, accruals, reconciliations, and financial close processes.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise data conversion, migration validation, reconciliation testing, and financial data integrity verification.
• Experience performing integration testing across multiple enterprise systems and interfaces.
• Experience leading and directing offshore testing teams while reviewing test deliverables for quality and completeness.
• Proficiency with enterprise test management tools and strong focus on traceability, defect management, and test evidence documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document actionable defects and testing outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute end-to-end test scenarios for ERP configurations and enterprise structure design.
• Lead functional testing across SIT, E2E, UAT, and release validation cycles.
• Own ERP integration testing across finance and procurement ecosystems.
• Define data conversion and migration test scenarios including balances, records, and reconciliations.
• Validate financial controls, approval workflows, SoD, and risk/compliance requirements.
• Facilitate UAT sessions with Finance and Procurement users and manage defects.
• Drive defect triage and resolution with consultants and system integrators.
• Collaborate with automation teams to identify regression candidates and automation-ready tests.
