Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking an Oracle Fusion Architect to act as the technical design authority for the firm's Fusion Cloud ERP platform. You will establish standards for integrations, extensions, reporting, and batch processing, while promoting Oracle-delivered functionality where appropriate.

You will lead modernization of the custom extension portfolio, author design docs, review work, and guide cross-functional teams toward maintainable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; focus in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Engineering, or Business Information Technology preferred.
• Six (6) or more years of professional software development experience.
• Four (4) or more years of ERP technical architecture and custom development experience.
• Experience designing and supporting Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) integrations, including monitoring, error handling, and performance optimization.
• Experience developing Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) applications using Oracle JET.
• Experience using Oracle Fusion REST APIs across Finance, PPM, HCM, or Procurement.
• Experience developing Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP) reports, including data models, templates, and bursting.
• Experience developing Custom ESS Jobs and PL/SQL procedures and packages.
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue (preferred).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions (preferred).
• Knowledge of Oracle Fusion security concepts and cloud-native deployment practices (preferred).
• Experience within a professional services or Oracle implementation environment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develops Technical Design Documents for OIC integrations, VBCS extensions, BIP reports, Custom ESS Jobs, and Fusion REST API solutions prior to development.
• Evaluates requirements against Oracle Fusion functionality and selects appropriate technical approaches.
• Contributes to standards across the Fusion custom development portfolio.
• Reviews development work for alignment with design standards.
• Maintains Architecture Decision Records documenting decisions and direction.
• Supports CI/CD design considerations with platform operations teams.
• Reviews vendor-delivered integrations for compliance with standards.
• Identifies technical debt and remediation recommendations.
• Mentors internal and third-party developers through design reviews and guidance.
• Serves as escalation point for architectural issues and performance challenges.
