Job Title: Technology Architect- Oracle MFCS (Oracle Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service)

Work Location: Irving, Texas (Onsite)

Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Description

Must have Skills

1. End-to-end Solution Architecture & System Design – define the end-to-end technical architecture for MFCS and its integration with related Oracle Retail Cloud products; translate business requirements into robust, scalable technical designs; ensure alignment with Oracle Retail Cloud best practices, performance standards, and security guidelines
2. Technical Leadership & Development Oversight – lead building customizations, extensions, and interfaces; review and optimize technical deliverables
3. Integration, Data Migration & Cloud Deployment Governance – architect and oversee system integrations between MFCS and upstream/downstream systems; own data migration strategy; governance for cloud deployment, environment setups, and performance tuning.

Own end-to-end MFCS technical architecture including application integration, data migration and reporting Architecture

Define integration patterns using REST APIs, BDI, and messaging (Spring Boot, Kafka), aligning with enterprise standards.

Designing integration between Oracle Retail and other applications in customer landscape.

Establish non-functional requirements (NFRs): scalability, resilience, performance SLAs, DR/BCP, failover.

Experience in translating functional/non-functional requirements to system requirements.

Author HLD/LLD, sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams, and deployment architecture.

Design extensions, data mapping, conversion and migrations, and integration approach and strategy.

Position requires ability to produce and review technical and functional design documents.

Implementation & Delivery

• Lead technical workstreams for MFCS configuration, extensions
• Come up with integration strategy, oversee integration build with external systems, focusing on Quality, Security & Compliance
• Define performance tuning approaches: bulk processing, caching, batch windows, API throttling, and DB query optimization.
• Implement security by design: SSO, OAuth2/OIDC, RBAC, data encryption, secrets management, audit trails.
• Ensure data quality & reconciliation across MFCS and downstream systems.

Stakeholder Management & Governance

• Partner with Business/Functional teams to translate merchandising processes (item/pack, supplier, purchase orders, allocations, transfers, cost/retail, price changes) into technical solutions.
• Run architecture reviews, design councils, risk assessments, and Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes.
• Provide technical leadership to onshore/offshore teams, mentor developers and integration engineers.
• Create runbooks/operational playbooks, handover documentation, and support transition plans.
