Job summary

Everfox Holdings LLC in Annapolis Junction, MD seeks a Principal Oracle Database Administrator to lead Oracle 19c RAC environments on physical and virtual platforms. The role emphasizes RMAN backups, performance tuning, and STIG security compliance for DoD-related systems.

You will collaborate with security, systems, and customer teams to ensure business continuity, contribute to mission-critical projects, and provide on-site support as required.

Qualifications

• Active clearance TS/SCI with FS Polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, cyber security, or related field.
• 14+ years of related experience in Oracle database administration and DoD environments.
• DoD 8570 Baseline Certification at IAT II or higher is required for professional services roles.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle 19c RAC databases on physical and virtualized platforms.
• Perform RMAN backups, restore tests, and disaster recovery validations.
• Monitor performance using AWR, diagnose issues, and optimize SQL and database configuration.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement STIGs and vulnerability remediation.
• Provide on-site and remote support to customers, and interface with Oracle support as needed.
• Upgrade, patch, and patching verification for Oracle and OS (RHEL 8.x).
• Coordinate with product and development teams to address defects in customer environments.
