A leading payroll services provider is seeking an experienced Database Engineer to maintain Oracle-based applications and support cloud-based products. The role involves SQL query tuning and database object design in a team environment. This position is part of the on-call rotation for critical issues, requiring excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Proven Oracle Database Administration experience – minimum of 5 years.
• Ability to maintain Oracle-based applications including Payroll and Financial Accounting Systems.
• Experience working in a team that delivers a high availability service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Oracle-based applications and assist with cloud-based products.
• Participate in design and tuning of database objects.
• Monitor long running transactions and optimize query executions.
