Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a senior Oracle DBA for a full-time role in Austin, TX. You will administer, monitor, and optimize Oracle databases across modern versions and ensure robust HA/DR through GoldenGate, RAC, Data Guard, and Exadata environments.

You will implement backups with RMAN, tune performance using AWR/ASH/ADDM, and work with cross-functional teams during deployments. Strong scripting and on-call readiness are essential.

Qualifications

10+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
Experience with Oracle GoldenGate installation and tuning.
Experience with Oracle Exadata administration and patching.
Hands-on knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard.
RMAN backups and recovery planning.
Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) usage for monitoring and tuning.
Performance tuning using AWR/ASH/ADDM and SQL Tuning.
Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.

Responsibilities

Administer, monitor, and support Oracle Database environments (11g/12c/19c/21c).
Manage and maintain Oracle GoldenGate replication in various environments.
Administer Oracle Exadata infrastructure and databases.
Configure and troubleshoot Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
