Job summary

h3 Technologies, LLC seeks a Database Administrator to guide and support database engineering for large-scale, distributed systems. The role interfaces with technical managers, engineers, and customers in an Agile environment, providing database design, migration, tuning, and administration across Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.

Some MD travel for quarterly PI Planning may be required. The ideal candidate has a TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph, 10+ years of DBA experience, a technical bachelor's

Qualifications

• Must hold TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph through MD Customer, last poly within 6 years
• Experience as a Database Administrator including data migration, replication, user administration, backup/recovery, performance tuning
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Proficient in Oracle SQL/PLSQL and SQL
• Programming knowledge including Java
• Committed to best practices and disciplined task planning
• Capable of high-quality work independently or in a fast-moving team

Responsibilities

• Support database design, development, implementation, storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis
• Evaluate system improvements, optimization and maintenance efforts
• Develop long-term and short-term requirements for database administration and design
• Develop databases, database parser software and loading software
• Translate requirements into usable schemas and create/update queries and macros
• Develop database structures that fit the overall system architecture
• Provide recommendations from project inception to conclusion within a business/IT domain
• Travel to MD for quarterly PI Planning sessions as needed
