Job summary

Open Systems Technologies Corporation is seeking a Database Engineer/Oracle Database Administrator to join a high-performing team supporting the Intelligence Community. You will provide database engineering across architecture, design, development, data flow, and documentation for complex systems with strong performance and security requirements.

The role covers Oracle SQL/PLSQL, scripting (Python/JavaScript), and experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB.

Qualifications

Security clearance required and polygraph within last 5 years.
Experience as a Database Administrator with migration, replication, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
Strong understanding of Oracle and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Proficient in Oracle SQL/PLSQL and general SQL.
Scripting skills: JavaScript, Bash/Linux, Perl, or Python.
Knowledge of Java programming language.
Commitment to best practices and disciplined task planning.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-moving team environment.

Responsibilities

Guide database engineering for large-scale systems in a distributed network.
Collaborate with program teams in an Agile environment and participate in PI Planning.
Implement database engineering practices with a focus on performance and security.
Develop and update database designs, schemas, and supporting docs.
Perform data migration, replication, and administration tasks as needed.
Support capacity planning and performance optimization efforts.
Travel to MD for quarterly PI Planning sessions if not located on site.
