Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Senior Oracle DBA to join our team in Jersey City/ Pennington, NJ on a hybrid arrangement. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience, expertise in GoldenGate multi-master replication, and strong skills in performance tuning and production operations.

Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining resilient Oracle database platforms, monitoring and optimizing performance, managing backups with RMAN, and supporting security,

Qualifications

• 10+ years as an Oracle DBA with production support experience.
• Expertise with Oracle GoldenGate, including classic and integrated replicat implementations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Strong skills in database design, replication design, performance monitoring and tuning, and high availability.
• Proficiency in backup and recovery strategies and tools, including RMAN.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle installation, patching, and upgrades across environments. Scripting proficiency for automation and operations, such as Bash, Shell, or Python.
• Knowledge of user management, roles, auditing, and database security standards.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and apply sound judgment within established practices and policies.
