Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners in Maryland is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Engineer to develop, troubleshoot, optimize, and sustain enterprise Oracle database solutions. The role centers on hands-on SQL/PLSQL, production issue resolution, script remediation, ad hoc data analysis, and maintaining data feeds and integrations with Oracle, NiFi, AWS, APIs, and file interfaces.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of Oracle experience, strong performance tuning, and familiarity with RAC, RMAN, and Data

Qualifications

• The candidate has 10+ years of Oracle database experience with strong SQL/PLSQL development.
• Bachelor’s degree required; additional experience can substitute for a degree.
• Experience with high-availability, security, and release management practices.

Responsibilities

• Debug, analyze, and resolve complex Oracle SQL/PLSQL issues across environments.
• Review, refactor, optimize, and maintain SQL code and interfaces.
• Develop ad hoc queries for investigations, data validation, and reporting.
• Monitor and maintain enterprise data feeds and integrations (NiFi, AWS, APIs).
• Coordinate remediation across technical teams and perform root-cause analysis.
• Tune workloads using execution plans, indexing, partitioning, and tools.
• Support deployments, post-deployment validation, and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with Oracle DBAs on RAC, backup/recovery, Data Guard, and security.
