Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Oracle Database Developer to support our client’s contract needs. This position is located in the Washington DC area and will be a full remote position.

Responsibilities
  • Extensive Oracle database experience
  • Recent Oracle experience
  • Create and maintain complex stored procedures/packages for Oracle
  • Create and maintain database schemas for Oracle
  • Create and maintain partitions in Oracle to facilitate query performance and data maintenance
  • Maintain the existing applications and enhance the system as per client requirements
  • Modify existing procedures/packages to incorporate new functionalities
  • UNIX Shell scripting
  • Analyze system issues and devise and execute remediation plans
  • Perform code reviews and bug fixing
  • Conduct performance tuning of existing queries and packages
  • Comply with all required standards and processes and devise approach to ensure compliance across the team
  • Provide complete technical and maintenance support to the systems
  • Run the assigned projects solo as well as working as a team
  • Use of Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Developer, PuTTY, Shell Scripting, UNIX, and Linux
  • Interact directly with the customer on behalf of the team to resolve issues or identify new requirements to be addressed by the team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with 12+ years (or commensurate experience) in IT
  • Extensive and recent Oracle database experience
  • AWS Experience or GCP experience
  • 7-8 years of PL/SQL development experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding and knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
  • Maintains strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations
  • Exhibit confidence and knowledge in solving problems
  • Work well independently and within a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Willingness to learn and acquire new knowledge

Clearance Required: Able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance and must have been within US for the last 5 years with no cumulative travel outside the US exceeding 6 months.

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $140,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
