Responsibilities

About The Role:

We seek a skilled Senior Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on operating and maintaining our OCI environment, ensuring performance, security, and scalability. The OCI Cloud Engineer will oversee daily operations, monitor, manage, and optimize our cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, automation, and system administration.

• Monitor the health of OCI resources, establish automated health checks, and respond to incidents using predefined response plans.
• Analyze performance metrics, set alerts with OCI Monitoring, and optimize resource performance.
• Apply updates and patches, managing maintenance windows to ensure stability.
• Monitor resource utilization and plan scaling based on demand.
• Optimize OCI services through fine-tuning, load balancing, auto-scaling, and network configuration.
• Enhance database performance using Oracle Autonomous Database and Data Guard, applying indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
• Manage user access via OCI IAM, regularly reviewing policies for security.
• Enable and monitor audit logs, ensure compliance, and use OCI Cloud Guard for security threats.
• Ensure data encryption at rest and in transit, manage encryption keys, and scan for vulnerabilities.
• Implement and manage compute, storage, networking, and database components.
• Automate operations using Terraform, Ansible, and OCI Resource Manager.
• Collaborate with architects on scalable, resilient solutions.
• Troubleshoot incidents to minimize downtime.
• Oversee cloud security, identity, encryption, and compliance.
• Monitor and optimize cloud costs.
• Stay updated with OCI features and best practices.

Qualifications

What Makes You A Dream Candidate?

• Experience with Oracle E-Business R12.2, Fusion, especially in Financials and HCM modules.
• Experience in BI reports and Cloud Minor.
• Knowledge of FDI/VCN configurations.
• Experience designing and developing OIC/ODI/Apex customizations.
• Experience with Unix/Linux shells and firewalls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, software control, and editing tools.
• Knowledge of encryption and security protocols.
• Experience with IDEs like Cloud tools, SQL Navigator, PL-SQL Developer, JDeveloper, including performance tuning.
• Ability to interpret and produce technical documentation and diagrams.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions and foster teamwork.
• Interpersonal skills to build relationships internally and externally.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work/military experience.
• 7-10 years in IT analysis, design, development, testing, and support of Oracle e-Business applications; cloud/fusion experience preferred.
• 5-7 years in XML, JSON, XSLT, and Web Services.
