Job summary

DRW in Chicago seeks an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and support Oracle-based solutions. You will collaborate with end-users to define specifications and build secure, scalable applications using Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, and modern scripting tools in a fast-paced trading technology environment.

The role involves maintaining existing Oracle systems, integrating with third-party services, and contributing to process improvements, coding standards, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of application development experience.
• 3+ years Oracle PL/SQL.
• 3+ years Oracle APEX experience.
• Experience with data modeling.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Scripting language experience (shell scripting, python, node, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Work closely with end-users to define specifications and develop software solutions
• Work in a complex and non-routine environment requiring advanced technical/business skills
• Maintain and support existing Oracle systems and various integrations to other third-party systems
• Participate in the improvement of development processes
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize APEX applications for performance.
• Participate in the improvement of development processes and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Write clear technical documentation for developed applications, processes, and APIs.
