Job description

Job Description: Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer in our Salt Lake City area office. Principal-level candidates will serve as the Principal-in-Charge of projects and will direct, review, and oversee projects and provide guidance to engineering staff. Additional job duties may include:

  • Selecting project managers for projects and directing and assisting the project manager throughout project duration.
  • Interfacing with clients and attend meetings, as necessary.
  • Assuming technical responsibility for project components and providing technical assistance to project managers and engineering staff.

Required Education and Licensure: The successful candidate should be a licensed professional engineer (P.E.) in the state of Utah or the ability to obtain within 6 months. BS Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required; MS Degree in geotechnical engineering is preferred.

Required Skills: A well-rounded background in geotechnical engineering with at least 10 years of experience, strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, and a track record of successful client relationship and service are required. Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, and problem solving skills.
