Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer (Irvine, CA) [SGE-IRV]

Job Description: Ninyo & Moore has an opening for a Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer in Irvine, California. The successful candidate will investigate residential and commercial sites to evaluate the cause and origin of geotechnical failures, damages, or defects. Responsibilities include conducting and managing forensic geotechnical evaluations, overseeing small to large private and public sector geotechnical projects, mentoring junior staff, providing leadership, maintaining client relationships, assisting in marketing and business development, providing ongoing training, reviewing engineering work products, and preparing, reviewing, and signing geotechnical proposals and reports.

Qualifications:

1. Education: M.S. in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis required.
2. Registration: P.E. required; G.E. preferred.
3. Experience: Over 10 years of experience with a geotechnical consulting firm, licensed as a professional engineer in California.
4. Skills: Strong background in geotechnical engineering, excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and experience with construction and earthwork activities.
