Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience as an RN
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN)
• Current state of Illinois Registered Nursing License
• CPR certification
• ACLS for ICU, Telemetry, Med/Surg, Endoscopy, PACU, IR, and ED within 3 months of hire
• PALS for PACU and ED within 3 months of hire
• Proficiency in charge and preceptor roles

Responsibilities

• Ensures staff applies current evidence-based guidelines and shares information with peers
• Participates in unit-based quality initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes
• Establishes a caring, therapeutic relationship with patients and families and supports mutal goal setting for outcomes
• Leads in unit leadership, coaching and role modeling to support clinical practice requirements
