Our client, located in the Northwest Suburbs of Minneapolis, is seeking to add a Senior Controls Engineer or a Level III Controls Engineer to their team due to significant growth. Annual salary: $120K to $165K (based on experience), plus outstanding benefits, 4 weeks PTO (pro-rated upfront), and other perks.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and oversee programming of PLCs, HMIs, and remote I/O devices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Manage projects to ensure workflow remains within schedule and budget.
  • Provide project coordination and management for customer orders.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a 2-year technical degree with equivalent experience.
  • 5 to 10+ years of engineering and technical experience.
  • Proficient with communication protocols such as Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet IP, & Profinet.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and PLC/HMI software (e.g., Emerson PAC Machine Edition, Allen Bradley Studio 5000, Movicon, FactoryTalk View).
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience with SCADA systems (Inductive Automation Ignition, Blue Open Studio, Wonderware InTouch).
  • Experience with Schweitzer AcSELerator Quickset, Schneider Electric Control Logix, Woodward Toolkit, GE Multilin, or Basler DECS software.
  • Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software design and commissioning.
  • Experience in renewables, energy markets, data centers, battery systems, or charging stations is a plus.
Additional Details
  • Travel up to 25% for onsite support, including occasional domestic and rare international trips.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available.
  • No relocation package offered.
