You will own subsystem architectures, collaborate with physicists and multi-disciplinary teams, and push toward repeatable, manufacturable solutions for future atom-count scales.

The role emphasizes hands-on lab work, model-based analysis, and DFx practices to accelerate transitions from research to production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in optical/mechanical engineering or physics required.
• 5+ years’ experience designing laser-based opto-mechanical systems.
• Hands-on lab track record with measurement and testing.

Responsibilities

• Own opto-mechanical subsystems within a hardware architecture.
• Design and integrate precision components for lasers and optics.
• Develop failure modes and tolerances for stability.
• Collaborate with physicists and engineers across disciplines.
• Advance design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly early in the lifecycle.
