IDEX Materials Science Solutions, a unit of IDEX Corporation, seeks an Optical Test Technician III in West Henrietta, NY. The role focuses on final optical assembly optimization and testing to ensure accuracy and repeatability in a clean-room environment.

You will work with interferometers, spectrophotometers, power meters, and beam profilers, applying optical theory to analyze results and drive improvements in performance. A BS/Optics or AS/Optics plus 3–5 years’ experience is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in optics or related field preferred
• 3–5 years of optical testing/assembly experience preferred
• Strong understanding of optical theory and terminology

Responsabilidades

• Perform optical testing with measurements of transmission, wavefront error, and boresight error.
• Perform optical assembly optimization including alignment and shim adjustments.
• Interpret results and identify adjustable parameters to improve optical performance.
• Follow work instructions and production routers to support testing and optimization.
• Ensure compliance with clean-room protocols and health & safety policies.
