Job summary

Entegee is seeking an Optical Engineer to join our team in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on building optical systems, aligning assemblies, testing and documenting results, and deploying solutions onsite for customers.

Responsibilities include performing optical analysis, coordinating with senior staff, and developing design documentation to support programs and manufacturing. A strong background in Zemax and optical theory is expected, with travel about 10% for field work.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering or Optical Sciences.
Experience with lab assembly and alignment of complex optical systems.
Solid understanding of optical theory and application principles.
Experience in optical system design and layout using Zemax.
Ability to travel approximately 10% for deployment or customer engagement.

Responsibilities

Build optical systems and instrumentation to requirements and specs.
Document optical alignment and test results at component, sub-system, and system levels.
Analyze optical systems, including wavefront error and stray light, using Zemax or similar tools.
Compare analysis results to system requirements and support manufacturing processes.
