Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. is seeking a Sr Principal Optical Systems Engineer in Beaverton, OR to lead architecture, modeling, integration, and validation of advanced optical microsystems and photonic test solutions.

Role involves cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and software teams. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in wave optics, photonics, and optical design, with hands-on experience in test methodologies, automated data acquisition, and system-level

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of related optical systems experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 6 years with a Master’s, or a PhD with 3 years.
Experience leading complex technical projects from concept through product release.
Strong expertise in wave optics, optical-system analysis, and photonic devices.
Proficiency with Zemax for optical design.

Responsibilities

Lead development of advanced optical systems from concept through commercial deployment.
Translate requirements into system architectures, specs, interfaces, and verification plans.
Define automated test and data-acquisition approaches for development and manufacturing.
