You will define specifications, analyze performance, and collaborate with suppliers to meet stringent reliability and cost targets. Responsibilities include mixed-signal hardware development, PCB guidance, lab automation, and test data analysis across a cross-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Optical/related field; MS preferred.
• Experience in optical communications or photonics; 2+ years in hardware development.
• Familiarity with DWDM/ROADMs and optical subsystems.
• Proficient in mixed-signal design and lab testing.
• Knowledge of laser and photodetector control systems.

Responsibilities

• Define specifications for passive/active optical components and subsystems; evaluate performance.
• Design and develop circuits for laser and optical subsystem control; implement analog/digital control.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams; contribute to design reviews and qualification plans.
• Perform lab testing, data collection, and reliability testing; develop automation tools for instrumentation.
