Job summary

ovt in California is seeking a Sr/Staff/Principal Optical Engineer to lead advanced metasurface design efforts for image sensor optimization. You will work in a fast-paced R&D environment, designing optical structures and solving challenging light-manipulation problems.

The role requires a graduate degree in optics/physics/EE or related field, strong FDTD and optics knowledge, and excellent data analysis and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Metasurface design experience required.
• Diffractive optical device design experience.
• Proficient in FDTD simulation and optimization.
• Knowledge of wave, Fourier and Geometrical optics.
• Strong image/data analysis skills using Matlab, Python or Excel.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Graduate degree or higher in optics, physics, EE or related field.
