IERUS Technologies is seeking an Optical Design Engineer to design, integrate, and evaluate electro-optical sensor systems in a hands-on lab environment. The role involves significant testing, alignment, and data analysis to support defense and commercial projects.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in optical design, tolerance analysis, and materials, with experience using Zemax/CODE V and MATLAB/Python for data processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Optics/Engineering/Physics or related field.
• 5+ years in aerospace/defense RD/production or operation.
• Strong design, tolerance analysis, and optical materials knowledge.
• Proficient in Zemax, CODE V, or similar tools.
• Data analysis using MATLAB or Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evaluate electro-optical sensor systems.
• Perform alignment and characterization of optical systems.
• Document technical findings and results clearly.
