Job summary

Join the innovative Pixel Optics team at Google as a Senior Optical Design Engineer, focusing on high-fidelity optical modeling and opto-mechanical performance analysis for future Pixel products.

You will lead end-to-end development of advanced optical systems, leveraging non-sequential ray tracing expertise and AR knowledge to solve complex design challenges with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience working in optical design.
  • Proficiency in Python for automating optical simulations, data post-processing, and generating design reports.
  • Familiarity with camera systems, sensors, and display technologies.

  • Develop, maintain, and execute complex optical models using industry-standard software and internal Python-based tools for analysis and visualization.
