Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Optical Reliability Engineer to drive quality from NPI to production for advanced optical components and transceivers. You will develop CTQ metrics, run FMEA, design reliability tests, and perform root-cause analyses to improve product robustness.

Qualifications

8+ years in development/validation of optical components such as lasers, transceivers.
Experience with high-speed optical test equipment and automation.
Programming in Python and/or MATLAB for test automation.

Responsibilities

Develop and track CTQ metrics for product quality across NPI to mass production.
Perform FMEA to identify failure modes and manufacturing challenges.
Design and execute reliability tests for optical modules and components.
Conduct failure analysis to determine root causes and drive improvements.
Establish in-house testing capabilities for reliability and performance.
Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams for design enhancements and preventive actions.
Coordinate with ODMs and QA teams across time zones to support prototyping and mass production.
