Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field; a master's degree could be beneficial.
• At least 10 years of manufacturing experience, 7+ years in a leadership role, in precision optics or related industries such as semiconductors, lasers, or aerospace.
• Proven track record of managing manufacturing operations for high-precision products.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced to standards and timelines.
• Oversee implementation of production schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting delivery expectations.
• Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with quality control to implement inspection protocols, identify defects, and initiate corrective actions.
• Analyze production processes and implement continuous improvement strategies to boost productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality.
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma or similar methodologies to optimize workflows and minimize waste.
