Job summary

VG Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to provide direct operational support to the Government Program Manager on a DoD contract. This role oversees day-to-day operations, coordinating resources across multiple locations to meet milestones and deadlines.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with hands-on experience in IT/production environments. On-site presence in Huntsville, AL is required, and a TS clearance is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in any discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience supervising VIPC-type design and production teams across multiple locations.
• Associate’s degree with 15 years of relevant experience, or HS diploma with 20 years of relevant experience may substitute for the experience.
• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance at time of hire and ability to maintain eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct operational support to the Government Program Manager and oversee daily activities and production performance.
• Manage VIPC-type operations across multiple geographic locations.
• Supervise multiple teams and disciplines supporting contract requirements.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation for timely task execution.
• Adapt to fast-changing requirements and short timelines for multiple customers.
• Implement management policies and practices to support efficient operations.
• Oversee workflow and assign work based on skill and efficiency.
• Manage ordering and tracking of consumables per established processes and audits.
• Serve as customer-facing contact for operational questions.
• Attend planning meetings and communicate planning requirements.
