Qualifications

• CPA or Master’s Degree required.
• Minimum 10+ years accounting experience, 5+ years upstream oil & gas.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• SOX/internal controls experience.
• Demonstrated COPAS-based joint interest audit experience.
• Experience managing external audit relationships.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outside-operated and non-operated audit activities under COPAS.
• Review JIB statements, overhead rates, and allocations for COPAS compliance.
• Engage third‑party firms for joint audits with partners; oversee findings resolutions.
• Coordinate acquisition/disposition accounting and settlement statement prep.
• Support internal control assessments, policy compliance, and financial reporting.
