Job summary

Pharmaron is seeking a Senior Scientist/Study Director in San Diego to lead preclinical ophthalmology programs. You will design, execute, and interpret ocular studies, mentor staff, and act as primary scientific contact for clients.

You will oversee imaging and functional endpoints (OCT, FA, ICGA, ERG, OKR) and ensure regulatory compliance, study delivery, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This role demands strong project management and scientific communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant ophthalmology experience.
• Experience leading preclinical ophthalmology studies and study design.
• Regulatory and GLP experience including audits and QA coordination.

Responsibilities

• Serve as scientific lead for preclinical ophthalmology studies.
• Act as Study Director for GLP and non-GLP ophthalmology studies.
• Design and oversee in vivo ophthalmology studies in various models.
• Provide data interpretation and client-facing scientific leadership.
