Job summary

Ohio State University in Columbus, OH is seeking a Research Senior Technician in the Ophthalmology department. This part-time role (20 hours/week) supports experiments to study animal models of eye disease, performing immunohistochemistry, cell culture, Western analyses, imaging, and tissue processing, under the direction of the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences.

You will record and analyze results, help prepare progress reports and manuscripts, train junior staff and students,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• Associate's degree with 2 years of experience acceptable.
• High School diploma with 4 years of experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct molecular, cellular, and biological research techniques.
• Perform immunohistochemistry assays and Western analyses.
• Image, sort, and process tissue and blood samples.
