Job summary

Fortrea is seeking a Sr. Clinical Research Associate with ophthalmology expertise for remote work and travel across the US. Open to major hub locations in California, Texas, and the South East & North East US. 3+ years of monitoring experience required, with 30-50% overnight travel.

You will monitor clinical sites, ensure protocol adherence, manage data integrity, and support project teams. Strong communication and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of site monitoring from initiation to close-out.
• Coordinate site management as prescribed in project plans.
• General on-site monitoring and staff materials/instructions for protocol entry.
• Ensure informed consent procedures and protocol adherence per regulatory requirements.
• Verify data integrity in CRFs and monitor data for missing/implausible data.
• Support registry management and feasibility work as requested.
• Complete SAE reporting and follow-up per guidelines.
• CRF review and data-query resolution.
• Train new staff and co-monitor as needed.
• Coordinate designated projects as Local Project Coordinator or client contact.
