Job summary

Nestlé is seeking a Senior Operations Technology Specialist to secure and enhance the reliability, performance, and security of our site IT/OT environment, including factory floor hardware, software, networks, servers, and communications. Responsibilities

  • Sustain in-depth knowledge of production and IT systems, translate business needs into specs.
  • Autonomously improve factory floor IT solutions to meet location goals.
  • Coordinate installation, configuration, and optimization of IT/OT systems.
  • Ensure data backup, disaster recovery, licensing, compliance, and security.
  • Guide factory personnel on IT/OT process resolution and best practices.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on IT solution issues and outages.
  • Provide off-hours support aligned with factory requirements.
  • Plan local implementation of new/enhanced factory software with leadership.
  • Develop expertise for base location systems and cross-site capabilities.
  • Apply Agile methods within functional specialty and promote IT efficiency.
  • Enhance performance with regional experts for cross-site initiatives.
  • Collaborate to deploy new technologies across market locations.

Position Summary:

As aSeniorOperations Technology Specialist, you will be a key technology partner responsible for maintaining and enhancing the reliability, performance, and security of the site's computing environment, including factory floor and back-office hardware, software, networks, servers, and communication systems. Serving as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert, you will collaborate with site leadership, operational teams, and the broader Market ITC Network to support business objectives, drive continuous improvement, and deliver innovative technology solutions. Beyond your assigned site, you will contribute to cross-site initiatives, technology deployments, and market-level priorities, leveraging your expertise to share best practices, influence strategic projects, and help shape the future of operational technology across the organization.

Key Responsibilties:
  • Sustain an in-depth working knowledge of the production process within the base location and how it relates to the underlying IT systems. Expected to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  • On a largely autonomous basis, maintain and contribute to continuous improvement of factory floor solutions to positively impact the objectives of the base location operation and deliver value back to business.
  • Maintain technical expertise to support, guide, troubleshoot, and coordinate the installation, configuration, administration, optimization, and resolution of issues across in-house computing hardware, software, database, network, communication, and multimedia systems.
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure adherence to company requirements related to data backup, disaster recovery, software licensing, compliance, security, and approved standards and policies.
  • Work with all levels of factory personnel to provide service, direction, on the correct process to resolve internal factory request related to IT / OT systems.
  • Support the coordination, collaboration, and communications with key stakeholders related to IT solution issues/outages impacting production processes through resolution and problem management.
  • Provide demand-based off hours technical support in alignment with factory off-hours support requirements.
  • Partner with Factory Leadership Team and local engineers to plan and coordinate local implementation of new and enhanced factory software.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise related to base location systems and the assigned Sr. Specialist track, while building broader FFIT capabilities within the specialty area to support cross-site initiatives, project delivery, and functional leadership.
  • Utilize and promote Agile ways of working, particularly within the area of functional specialty.
  • Enhance IT operational performance by driving partnership with regional functional experts to support in-market, cross-site, and single-site initiatives related to the assigned track.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new technologies across multiple market locations.
  • Translate a strong understanding and benchmark external technology trends and their practical applications to enable new operating models for site IT operations.
  • Develop robust communication and documentation protocols to ensure clarity and consistency across all teams.
  • Partner with External IT Product and Sustain and Business Operations teams to align and deliver on project and program goals.
  • Lead on assigned local IT projects and market IT projects and initiatives.
Experience & Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of related experience.

    • Networking (servers, virtualization, storage and monitoring solutions)
