We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-orientedSenior Alternative Investments Operations Supervisorto join our team. This is an individual contributor role responsible for organizing the team and work, ensuring the end-to-end operational support of alternative investment products, including hedge funds, private equity, real estate funds, and other non-traditional investment vehicles are performed accurately and timely. Is responsible for training team members, is the first point of escalation on issues and works with manager to ensure high service levels and productivity standards.

The ideal candidate will bring strong operational expertise and a client-centric mindset to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions, position reconciliation, and effective coordination across internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee alternative investment activity including subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, distributions, and transfers. Monitor activity of team and jump into process when needed.
  • Perform accurate reconciliation of alternative investment positions, cash activity, and suspense accounts between internal systems, fund administrators, and depositories.
  • Maintain accurate records and position data in internal systems, ensuring consistency with fund documentation and custodian data.
  • Act as an operations subject matter expert for financial advisors and their teams, providing timely updates, resolving inquiries, and proactively managing expectations around investment timelines and requirements.
  • Investigate and remediate transaction discrepancies, breaks, or delays with urgency and ownership, minimizing advisor and client impact.
  • Identify inefficiencies and contribute to ongoing process enhancements and automation initiatives to support scale and improve accuracy

What you have

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/finance or a related discipline strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in investment operations with a focus on alternative investments preferred

Certifications:

  • Series 99 and SIE required within 120 days of employment
  • Series 7 preferred, but not required

Skills:

  • Solid understanding of alternative investment products (e.g., private equity, hedge funds, real estate, interval funds).
  • Experience supporting financial advisors in a wealth management environment strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with fund documentation, subscription processes, and alternative investment custodial workflows.
  • Proficiency with reconciliation tools and investment operations platforms; experience with DTCC AIP, custodial and fund administrator systems a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, creatively, and perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Ability to motivate team
