Job summary

People Technology And Processes seeks a Senior Operations SME (Mission Command Exercises) to support MRX development and execution at Fort Bragg, NC. The role requires deep SOF operations expertise and the ability to advise on doctrine and best practices with SOMTC staff.

The position involves planning exercises, coordinating with units, and ensuring MRX products meet readiness objectives, with after-action reviews contributing to ongoing training improvements. SECRET clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree; 15 years of related military experience may substitute.
• Graduate of the SF Qualifying Course and related SF education tracks.
• SOF assignment in Special Forces, PSYOP, Civil Affairs, Ranger Regiment, SOF aviation, or Special Mission units, or DoW equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert operational input for development, design, and execution of Mission Readiness Exercises (MRXs).
• Advise SOMTC staff on SOF concepts, doctrine, and best practices.
• Support exercise planning, scenario development, and coordination with participating units.
• Ensure MRX products align with training objectives and operational readiness standards.
• Assist in after-action reviews and refinement of training effectiveness.

Education

U.S. Army Special Forces Qualifying Course (Officer 18A, Warrant Officer 180A, or NCO 18-series MOS)

SF Warrant Officer Advanced Course

NCOES First Sergeant Course or Sergeants Major Course

Graduate of a U.S. military intermediate course or Senior Service College
