U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking an Operations Research Analyst (GS-14) to perform comprehensive cost estimating and analysis across CBP programs.

The role starts with salary published for GS-14, Step 1, and advances through higher steps as applicable. You will develop and review Life-Cycle Cost Estimates, create cost models, apply mathematical and statistical methods, and brief senior CBP and DHS staff on findings to inform acquisition decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in operations research or 24 semester hours in math/statistics with calculus.
• Specialized experience in cost estimating and analysis for acquisition.
• Ability to develop and review life-cycle cost estimates (LCCEs).

Responsibilities

• Develop and review Life-Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCEs) for CBP programs.
• Develop cost models and apply statistical/econometric methods.
• Provide cost analysis counsel to program managers and senior leadership.
• Brief senior CBP and DHS staff on cost estimating results.
