Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead and develop a diverse team of Supervisors, drive efficient warehouse operations, and partner with customers to ensure a high standard of performance. Travel up to 80% to customer sites will be required to support new start-ups and launches.

Qualifications

• Proven experience executing startup, implementation, or go-live activities.
• Experience in a data center, server logistics, or high-tech warehousing environment managing serialized assets and ESD handling (preferred).
• 1+ years logistics industry experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory or management role experience.
• P&L management experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop Supervisors and indirect reports with coaching and guidance to build an inclusive team culture.
• Develop and implement efficient workflows, labor plans, and processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Uphold health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety.
• Prepare reports on KPIs including productivity and accuracy to support decisions.
• Collaborate with HR and site leadership for hiring Supervisors and talent selection.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to fulfill customer orders promptly and accurately.
• Maintain strong on-site client relationships and address concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.

Job description

This role requires up to 80% travel to customer sites to support new start-ups and operational launches. You'll play a key role in preparing sites for go-live, supporting implementation activities, and partnering with operational teams to ensure a successful launch and customer experience.

• Proven experience executing on-the-floor startup, implementation, or go-live activities, required.
• Experience in a data center, server logistics, or high-tech warehousing environment managing serialized assets and ESD-compliant handling, preferred.
• Strong ability to manage daily floor operations, supervise multi-shift teams, and drive productivity, safety, and quality metrics.
• Proven success supporting facility activations, workforce ramp-ups, systems deployment, and post-go-live performance stabilization.
• Working knowledge of high-precision serialized asset tracking, strict chain-of-custody processes, electrostatic discharge (ESD) standards, and specialized IT handling equipment (such as server rack tuggers).
• Comfortable working within active construction or dynamic site development environments during facility build-outs and early-stage ramping.
• Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and develop frontline supervisors and hourly associates, including the capacity to onboard and upskill talent transitioning from non-technical warehousing backgrounds.
• History of daily customer interfacing, managing on-site client relationships, and communicating operational updates effectively.

The Sr. Operations Manager (Operations Manager I) role has a national salary range of $85,000 - $100,000. For roles within California and Washington the range is $85,000 to $110,000. Job Description

• Partner with Human Resources and site leadership to ensure a comprehensive hiring process of Supervisors. Provide valuable input and recommendations to support the selection of top talent that aligns with the organization's values, culture, and job requirements.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the consistent and prompt fulfillment of customer orders, exceeding their expectations.
• Engage in a strong partnership with customers, proactively taking measures to address any concerns or issues, with the goal of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction.

Required Education And Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferred.
• 1+ years logistics industry experience, required.
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role, required.
• Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management, preferred.
