Job summary

Alston Construction is seeking an Operations Manager in Downers Grove, IL. This exempt role manages daily operations, staff development, and project execution for multiple business units.

You will mentor staff, ensure profitability, and drive adherence to company policies and safety programs. Responsibilities include budgeting, contract review, risk mitigation, and client coordination with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management or related field required.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive operations experience with a general contractor.
• OSHA 30-hour Certification and First Aid/CPR.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor operations staff and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure profitability and compliance with policies.
• Develop short- and long-term goals for business units and communicate to staff.
• Review contracts and support risk management and project cost controls.
• Mentor and develop Operations staff; participate in recruiting and performance evaluations.
• Maintain client relationships and coordinate with subcontractors and staff to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.
